When I first caught up with Melissa and Ben I immediately thought that this would be a fun wedding. They had been referred to me by an old mate from Melbourne and as soon as I met them I felt very comfortable with these two. Melissa and Ben had planned to be married on the beach at Noosa but after investigating it closer decided against the beach and instead opted for a beautiful private ceremony on the rooftop overlooking the whole of Noosa. They hired out a large penthouse apartment on Noosa hill and had the ceremony and reception there. What a view! Great spot to get married.
The girls were ready to get dressed when I arrived but had plenty of time before the ceremony for a couple of glasses of champagne with dad in celebration. Guest started to arrive which was a pretty good signal for the girls to get ready.
After a touching ceremony with laughter and tears Ben and Melissa were married. After a bit of time to chat to their guests we set of to the Noosa National Park for our location shots. The National park is such a great spot with so many spots of varying light, I was wrapped with all of them.
The reception had a really great vibe and was a real celebration. The speeches were full of reflection of the difficulties that these guys and their families had been through in the past few years. Moreover the overwhelming theme of Melissa and Ben’s relationship is that of strength to overcome adversity and their ability to love each other and to work together – a wonderful footing for a long and happy relationship.
Cheers guys for looking after me so well and making me feel so welcome, I had a great time shooting your wedding and I wish you all the best for your future together.
